Do I need to book studio time to get a mix?
No. Mixing is its own service. Send your files and the engineer works the record; you only book a room if you want to sit in on the mix or cut more vocals first.
What is the difference between a 2-track mix and a stem mix?
A 2-track mix means you send the beat as one stereo file plus your vocal tracks; the engineer mixes your vocals into the beat. A stem mix means you send every track broken out (drums, bass, keys, every vocal), and the engineer balances the entire record from the ground up. Stems take longer and cost more, and they are the way to go when the record matters.
How do I send my files?
